Stratos Cordless was our third generation on the same core architecture, motor, battery, and UI layout carried forward from earlier platforms. It launched as part of a coordinated family release alongside a Stratos upright and a corded stick, which meant some nozzle design elements were shared across the lineup with less room for me to control independently. The main cordless vacuum itself was my design.

You can see how the architecture varied through the P1 and P2 stages

Early on, we tried several layout redesigns aimed at giving Stratos a genuinely different form from our existing vacuums. None of them held up once we tested for performance, so the architecture stayed close to what came before. I built in an advanced display showing real-time battery life remaining, and the line introduced an odor-neutralizing puck as part of the broader Stratos family launch.

The handle ergonomics with a slab like display proved more challenging than expected, we ended up tweaking that blend all the way up to TRA

The flagship SKU shipped with a folding-hinge wand, for compact storage and reaching under furniture, paired with a dual-brushroll nozzle. A lower-cost variant swapped in a single fluffy brushroll with flaps, a hybrid of the two nozzle types, on a straight, non-folding wand.
